James Blake has released “Pick Me Up,” an ethereal new track from the forthcoming soundtrack to the hit HBO show Euphoria’s latest season.
Blake fantasizes about going away with a love partner on the delicate ballad, which contains a performance by British singer-songwriter Labrinth.
Tove Lo’s “How Long” and Lana Del Rey’s “Watercolor Eyes” will also be featured on the Euphoria Season 2 (An HBO Original Series Soundtrack), which will be released on February 25 via Interscope in collaboration with HBO.
Euphoria has previously teamed with musicians to premiere new songs on the show, which stars Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney. Last year, the show featured Billie Eilish and Rosalía collaboration “Lo Vas a Olvidar.” Labrinth is the show’s principal composer, and his track “All for Us” won an Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics in 2020.
Friends That Break Your Heart, Blake’s most recent album, was released last fall. SZA, JID, SwaVay, and Monica Martin all make cameos on the album, which Blake describes as a concept album.
