Jay-Z, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Westside Gunn, Griselda, Bono, Benny the Butcher, Conway the Machine, The LOX, Usher, and the rapper’s own son, Exodus Simmons, will all appear on DMX’s posthumous release.
Swiss Beatz, a close friend and executive producer, confirmed all of the information for the upcoming 13-track album, ‘Exodus.’ It will be released on May 28th, and it will be the artist’s first work for the iconic Def Jam imprint in 18 years, having previously released some of his most celebrated albums, including his 1988 debut ‘It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot’ and 1999’s ‘And Then There Was X,’ his best-selling LP.
DMX died on April 9th, 2021, after being admitted to the hospital seven days prior for a suspected opioid overdose and heart attack. His funeral was televised live around the world, with millions tuning in to pay their respects, and New York State has proclaimed December 28th as Earl ‘DMX’ Simmons Day.
