Johnny Marr has shared a new single from his forthcoming EP, Fever Dreams, Pt. 1, titled “Spirit, Power, and Soul,” which will be dropped on October 15th via BMG.
Marr drapes resonant guitar riffs and booming vocals over a powerful, almost disco-esque groove on “Spirit, Power, and Soul.”
Marr’s first new song since 2019, when he released a handful of tracks like “Armatopia” and “The Bright Parade,” is “Spirit, Power, and Soul.” Call the Comet, his most recent solo album, was released in 2018. Marr’s next double album, Fever Dreams, Pts. 1 – 4, will include the Fever Dreams, Pt. 1 EP. A release date will be revealed soon, along with additional details.
Meanwhile, the first Fever Dreams EP is up for pre-order and will be delivered digitally as well as on a limited-edition 12-inch silver vinyl.
This fall, Marr will perform a few of shows in the United Kingdom, before joining the Killers on their North American tour next summer.
