KANYE & DRAKE WILL TEAM UP FOR A ‘FREE LARRY HOOVER’ SHOW UPCOMING MONTH

After making amends, Ye and Drake will perform a one-off event on December 9 in support of Larry Hoover.

Following a half-decade rivalry, the pair will reunite in Los Angeles for their first public performance side-by-side in years. Just last week, Drake and Kanye reconciled their disagreements after Ye offered the Canadian rapper a headlining slot.

“It’s time to put it to rest,” Ye declared in a public video addressed to Drake about their long-running feud. Only a few days later, the two rappers shared photos and videos of themselves on social media.

The two stood for a picture tweeted by Kanye, captioned with a dove emoji – the symbol of peace – and appeared to have renewed their connection.

Now, they’re planning a performance in honor of Larry Hoover, a 70-year-old ex-ex-gang kingpin who is serving six life sentences in prison. Over the years, both Ye and Drake have been vocal in their support for Hoover’s release.

Ye revealed the live event on Instagram, where he shared a flyer for the LA Coliseum show with the tagline ‘God’s Plan.’

Larry Hoover, the gang leader, was imprisoned in 1973 for murder, conspiracy, extortion, and other offenses. In recent years, both Kanye West and Drake have lobbied for his release.

Following the news of the joint concert, some fans rushed to Twitter to express their displeasure with Drake’s appearance so soon after the Astroworld tragedy, which claimed the lives of ten people.
