One of Kanye West’s Donda 2 collaborations with the late XXXTentacion has been released. Until recently, “True Love” and the album’s other unreleased songs were only available on the Stem Player. XXXTentacion’s posthumous album Look at Me: The Album includes the song as well. The cover art for the song, comprises handwritten notes digitized from a journal discovered by XXXTentacion’s mother and designed by West.
The new documentary Look at Me: XXXTentacion is about XXXTentacion, who was murdered in 2018 at the age of 20. The film’s closing credits feature the song “True Love.”
In March, Donda 2 was released as a Stem Player exclusive, dubbed V2.22.22 Miami. The album was ineligible for the Billboard charts since it was attached to the device, and it is now only available to those who paid $200 for the device. On February 22, West debuted Donda 2 during a Miami event.
Following Fivio Foreign’s “City of Gods,” which featured West and Alicia Keys, “True Love” is the latest song related to Donda 2 to be dropped via Columbia. The other official Donda 2 single is “Eazy,” which was released by 100 Entertainment. An alarming music video for “Eazy” was released, in which an animated Kanye West abducted and buried an animated Pete Davidson.
West just released a video for “Life of the Party,” a previously leaked single from his album Donda (Deluxe). West’s upbringing is seen in the video, however, André 3000’s verse is not included.
Donda was released last year, and West has continued to produce visuals for it, including the most recent “Hurricane.” The song, which includes the Weeknd and Lil Baby, won Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2022 Grammys, before West’s Jay-Z duet “Jail” won Best Rap Song. He had been requested to perform at the ceremony but was turned down due to “concerning online behavior,” according to the Recording Academy. Soon after, West canceled his Coachella appearance. During his set, his substitute, the Weeknd, performed “Hurricane.”
