Kehlani has shared a new track entitled “Altar” from their next album, “Blue Water Road,” which will be released later this year.
Kehlani (who uses she/they pronouns) croons over a sharp drum skip and a blend of shimmering, swaying synths and guitars on “Altar,” a yearning pop-R&B hit. A music video directed by Kid Studio and featuring Diovanna LaBeija and Kehlani is also included with the song.
Kehlani’s first solo track of 2021, but far from their first track of the year, is “Altar.” They’ve also released a few duets, including T-Pain’s “I Like Dat,” Lil Durk’s “Love You Too,” and Amorphous’ “Back Together.”
Kehlani did not provide any other information on Blue Water Road, such as a release date or tracklist. It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, their 2020 album, will be followed by this one.
