Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 shared on social media on Wednesday that he is battling cancer. In a quickly removed Instagram post from Wednesday morning, he initially hinted at having the disease. According to Variety, it included a photo from what appeared to be a hospital room where he appeared to be receiving treatment. He confirmed the diagnosis several hours later.
Hoppus, who is 49 years old, did not reveal the sort of cancer he is battling, but expressed hope that he will overcome it.
Despite the fact that he has been through chemotherapy for the past three months, he has continued to celebrate Blink-182 milestones, according to his statement. He posted on the 20th anniversary of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket earlier this month.
