Matthias Meyer, a Berlin-based artist, has launched his second body of work on his own label, “Strangely Enough.”
Sasha, Anja Schneider, and Black Coffee have all lent their backing to the two-tracker, named ‘The Choir,’ which was released yesterday.
“The Choir,” the album’s first track, is built on a euphoric choir chorus that pulses throughout the seven minutes.
To push the hypnotic sound, there are harder beats surrounding it.
The second song, ‘Touch Of Magic,’ features synths from the 1980s and uptempo beats. There’s also some stabbing percussion and vibrant chords.
Meyer’s collaboration with Budakid on Watergate Records, ‘Sweet Ease’ / ‘Hybrid Society,’ comes after ‘The Choir.’
