Melissa Etheridge has released a new video for her song “For the Last Time,” which is the second single from her forthcoming album One Way Out.
On One Way Out, Etheridge revisited nine songs she wrote and actually launched in the late 1980s and early 1990s but never unveiled, and the video sees her and her band recording the uncovered song in the studio.
The One Way Out tracks were finally recorded in 2013 for a career retrospective box set that was eventually shelved when the singer and her record label split up. Etheridge returned to the project during the pandemic, and One Way Out is now set to be released on September 17th.
Etheridge was recently revealed as a headliner at both MerleFest 2021 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina in September and this year’s woman-only Rock ‘N’ Roll Fantasy Camp, in addition to the new album.
