METALLICA TAPS J BALVIN, THE NEPTUNES AND CHASE & STATUS FOR THE 53-TRACK COVERS ALBUM

“The Metallica Blacklist,” a 53-track cover album, will be released in September to coincide with the reissue of Metallica’s self-titled 1991 album (AKA The Black Album).

Various artists have contributed covers to the album, including Mac DeMarco, Chase & Status feat. Backroad Gee, Phoebe Bridgers, SebastiAn, Rina Sawayama, Moses Sumney, IDLES, The Neptunes, St. Vincent and a host of others covering their favourite songs from The Black Album.

Flatbush Zombies and Moses Sumney perform ‘The Unforgiven.’ while ‘Sad But True,’ is covered by St Vincent. J Balvin and The Neptunes take over ‘Wherever I May Roam.’

On September 10, Blackened Recordings will reissue The Black Album in a deluxe boxset that includes the 2xLP, three live LPs, 14 CDs, and a hardcover book.

Metallica’s charitable foundation, All Within My Hands, is among the charities supported by the album.
