Mick Jagger Enlists the Support of Dave Grohl for a New Song on Pandemic Life: “Eazy Sleazy”

“Eazy Sleazy,” a new song by Mick Jagger, features Dave Grohl. With a mix of frustration, fatigue, and satire, Jagger tackles life during the pandemic on this track. He sings about refusing to try a TikTok dance and falling flat on his ass in a samba class in one verse, while later challenging “deep state” believers and other conspiracy theorists.

The chorus, on the other hand, is full of hope for the post-pandemic future.

“Eazy Sleazy” was co-written by Jagger and Grohl, with the former handling guitar and vocals and the latter handling drums, guitar, and bass. Matt Clifford, Jagger’s longtime musical partner, recorded the song. Clifford also produced Jagger’s two 2017 tracks, “Gotta Get a Grip” and “England Lost.”

On a few occasions, Jagger and Grohl have worked together. When Jagger was the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live in 2012, Grohl and the Foo Fighters were one of his backing bands. Grohl joined the Rolling Stones onstage in Anaheim, California, a year later, playing guitar and singing “Bitch,” a Sticky Fingers classic.

Medicine at Midnight, Foo Fighters’ tenth studio album, was released in February. Grohl is also working on a new autobiography, The Storyteller, which will be released by Dey Street Books on October 5th.
