Ed Sheeran is ending the year 2021 with a great accomplishment. The musician announced on Instagram this Wednesday that “Shape of You”, his 2017 hit had reached 3 billion streams, becoming the most streamed song in Spotify history.
The young musician showed his appreciation to his fans, Spotify team, and also reflected on his journey with the single, ‘Shape of You’ explaining that he debated with the former president of Atlantic Records UK, Ben Cook, over making the track the first single of his 2017 album.
