Natalie Imbruglia is on the verge of release.
The singer of “Torn” was due to release a new album in 2020, her first since signing a deal with BMG in 2019. Imbruglia’s album was put on hold, as was the case for so many good stuff last year.
With the Australian pop artist teasing the first cut from it, that’s about to change. Imbruglia has unveiled five studio albums, the most recent of which is Male, which was released in 2015.
Imbruglia, like many of her peers, got her start in show business with a starring role in the iconic soapie Neighbors. In 1997, she broke into the music industry and had a worldwide success with her cover of Ednaswap’s “Torn.”
Left of the Middle, Imbruglia’s debut album, peaked at No. 1 on the ARIA chart and No. 5 on the Official UK Albums Chart, selling seven million copies worldwide.
In 1998, she won an MTV Award for Best New Artist, as well as six ARIA Awards. Imbruglia earned a hattrick of Grammy Award nominations the following year, as well as two Brit Awards.
