Midnight Shift will release a new record from dub masters Om Unit and Deadbeat next month.
The producers’ four-track album, ‘Root, Stalk, Leaf, and Bloom,’ will be released on November 19. ‘WOAH! WOAH!! WOAH!!!’ was the pair’s most recent endeavor, released earlier this year.
Unlike their remix pack, which was released in July, each song on the new album is a collaborative effort between the two producers, who combine their dub-heavy sounds with acid and techno.
Midnight Shift, a Singapore-based label that focuses on global talent, will release the EP as the label’s second full-length release. Om Unit from the United Kingdom and Deadbeat from Canada have formed an unusual duo, fusing sounds from Bristol and beyond.
The album has a total run time of 40 minutes, with each track lasting ten minutes in a voyage of dark, 303-filled electronic motions.
Om Unit’s most recent release was a self-released track titled “Ramp,” which delves into the depths of his dubstep expertise.
‘WOAH! WOAH!! WOAH!!!’ was released as a remix pack in late July, incorporating Deadbeat’s 2014 Ostgut Ton ‘WOAH!’ as extended and updated mixes. The lead track is an Om Unit remix, reworked in his signature style.
Midnight Shift will release ‘Root, Stalk, Leaf, and Bloom’ on November 19.
