On CBS This Morning Saturday, Lucy Dacus performed three songs from her just released new album Home Video and discussed the new LP.
Dacus and her band gathered in the singer- songwriter’s hometown Richmond, Virginia for the show’s “Saturday Sessions” to perform “Brando,” “VBS,” and “Hot and Heavy” from Home Video, which was released Friday.
Dacus also spoke with CBS This Morning’s Anthony Mason about her new album, song writing, the Boygenius supergroup, and returning to an altered Richmond after two years in Philadelphia.
Dacus searched through her old journals and home movies from her youth for the album.
Dacus also discussed how she writes songs, which she says happens mostly while she’s doing other things like washing dishes, walking, or knitting.
