Biz Markie’s legacy will be honored with a roadway named after him in his birthplace of Patchogue, Long Island.
Tara Davis, the hip hop pioneer’s widow, announced the news on Instagram the previous week.
On Saturday, September 25th, a renaming ceremony will be conducted in a staging area beside the 6th District Court.
Biz Markie died in July of this year as a result of complications from type 2 diabetes.
At a memorial service last month, Busta Rhymes, Ice-T, and others paid tribute to the late rapper.
