Elvis Costello and the Imposters have released the latest track from their forthcoming album The Boy Named If, “Paint the Red Rose Blue.”
Costello has been unusually active during the pandemic: The Boy Named If, coming out Jan. 14, 2022, follows his 2020 studio album, Hey Clockface, and the subsequent French-language EP, La Face de Pendule à Coucou, which was delivered earlier this year and features adaptations of Clockface songs. He issued an all-Spanish version of his 1978 album This Year’s Model in September, which featured Juanes, Jorge Drexler, Luis Fonsi, and others.
