For a charitable reason, Portishead has made their cover of ABBA’s “SOS” available to stream.
The Bristol trip-hop group has released ‘SOS’ on SoundCloud to raise funds for mental health charity Mind, after premiering their version of the track in 2016.
All listens of the cover will be donated to Mind using Soundcloud’s “fan-centric royalties” system, which pays out based on fan listening times rather than “pro rata,” with both Portishead and SoundCloud planning to make further donations to the organisation.
