RVNG Intl. have dropped a remix package featuring tracks from Kate NV’s album “Room for the Moon,” redone by Canadian musician Jessy Lanza and Russian group PTU.
‘Lu Na / If Anyone’s Sleepy’ is a two-track EP that reworks songs by Kate NV, a Moscow-born solo musician. Lanza kicks off the project with her remix of ‘Lu Na.’
The second track has Russian duo PTU covering Kate NV’s “If Anyone’s Sleepy” with drones and downtempo electronic sounds.
Both songs are remixes of the singers’ ethereal album ‘Room For The Moon,’ which was dropped last year. Kate NV announced the new release on social media on 21st October, stating that both remixes were created by two “beloved friends.”
‘Lu Na / If Anyone Is Sleepy’ is Lanza’s first release since her critically lauded album ‘All The Time,’ which was dropped via Hyperdub last year and received back-to-back excellent reviews.
Lanza also released ’24/7,’ a mixtape via Hyperdub comprising remixes of songs from ‘All The Time,’ the same week.
