Pussy Riot have announced their debut mixtape, Matriarchy Now featuring Big Freedia, and Hudson Mohawke, among others. The mixtape is executively produced by Tove Lo and directed by Haley Bowman.
Matriarchy will release on August 5 by Neon Gold. It presents the collaborative work of Pussy Riot with iLoveMakonnen on the single titled “Plastic.” Besides this, there will be guest appearances from Salem Ilese, Slayyyter, Kito, and Phoebe Ryan. Pussy Riot recently protested the suspension of reproductive rights by hanging a 45-foot banner of “Matriarchy Now” from the third floor of the Texas State Capitol.
