Ray Keith, an Essex jungle pioneer, is due to issue a biography.
Dark Soldier, a 650-page account written in partnership with journalist “Dave Jenkins,” is described as a “unique multi-layered tale that shows the true soul behind Ray’s many aliases.”
The biography is described as a “story of UK Culture, jungle music, personal growth, and self-development,” charting Keith’s “adverse and challenging” infancy to his rise in UK club culture over three decades. It includes contributions from Fabio & Grooverider, Goldie, and others.
On November 26th, Dark Solider will be launched.
Keith has nine studio albums to his credit, predominantly in the jungle and drum & bass genres, and has performed under the identities Renegade, Armageddon, and Babylon 5. He is also Joy Orbison’s uncle, Peter O’Grady.
