In a recently posted music video directed by Matt Mahurin, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’ “Searching for My Love” takes on a weathered storybook adventure.
The video follows Julia Lucey and Rolan Meyer through a land-and-sea narrative that weaves together the tales of an ocean-bound mermaid and a treasure-hungry pirate.
Bobby Moore and the Rhythm Aces initially recorded the cover, which appears on Raise the Roof, the duo’s first collaborative album in 14 years. The album, which was produced by T-Bone Burnett, has only one original track among its 12-song tracklist, which includes covers of classics by Merle Haggard, Allen Toussaint, the Everly Brothers, Bert Jansch, and others.
Plant and Krauss have a ten-date summer tour planned for later this year. New York, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia are among the cities where the duo will perform in June. It will be their first tour together in 12 years.
