Iron Maiden have announced Senjutsu, their 17th studio album and the band’s first in six years, following the release of their Biblical track “The Writing on the Wall.”
Senjutsu is a double album that will be released on September 3rd and will clock in at just under 82 minutes. Steve Harris co-produced the album, which was recorded in Paris with the band’s longtime producer Kevin Shirley. The samurai-inspired artwork was made by Mark Wilkinson from an idea by Harris, and the Japanese title loosely translates to “tactics and strategy.”
