Everything Was Beautiful, Spiritualized’s ninth studio album has been released. It will be released on February 25th through Fat Possum and is currently available for preorder.
The band also released the video for the album single “Always Together With You” to coincide with the announcement. The song is a revision of one that was first released in 2014 in a demo-styled version.
The record was written during the pandemic lockdown when many people felt alone, but J. Spaceman saw it as “beautiful solitude,” according to a statement.
Spaceman performs 16 different instruments on “Everything Was Beautiful,” which was recorded in 11 separate studios and at his home. On the set, he is joined by more than 30 musicians and singers, including his daughter, Poppy, as well as longtime colleague John Coxon.
Spiritualized will start on a North American tour in March, with concerts scheduled through April.
