Sven Väth performed for audiences at the new Tesla gigafactory in Berlin on Tuesday, February 22, including Tesla’s owner Elon Musk.
Väth wrote on Instagram last night “Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending some time with Elon Musk again.”
Thousands gathered outside Musk’s new Tesla factory in Gruenheide, just east of Berlin, to witness Sven Väth play while new car models appeared through a neon-lit tunnel.
“This is a great day for the factory,” Musk told Reuters, calling it as “another step in the direction of a sustainable future”.
Musk’s brand new “gigafactory” currently employs 3,500 people, with plans to expand to 12,000 in the future.
Musk and Väth have a history of working together and collaborating, so this isn’t their first dystopian encounter. Musk’s love for techno was realised in 2020 when he produced the EDM hit ‘Don’t Doubt Your Vibe.’
Sven Väth presented the businessman with an edit he labeled a “soundtrack for space travel” live at an awards event shortly after the track’s debut.
