Sven Väth is set to deliver his first solo album in over two decades.
It’ll be titled ‘Catharsis,’ and it’ll be his imprint Cocoon Recordings’ 50th album.
The album’s track titled, ‘Feiern,’ was released in September, but the album’s single, ‘Catharsis,’ was released on February 25.
Väth’s interest in the physical and spiritual processes that occur when we dance motivated him to produce the album with Gregor Tresher.
The album’s thirteen tracks go into every aspect of Väth’s music.
‘Catharsis’ begins with powerful drum rhythms and progresses to synths and euphoric highs. Melodic aspects are also included before the album evolves to include strings, additional drums, minimal techno, synthscapes, and expressive chords in the second half.
