Half Waif, a.k.a. Nandi Rose, has announced the release of her latest album Mythopoetics, which will be released on July 9th.
Rose released the mystical track “Swimmer” to coincide with the announcement. The video, directed by Kenna Hynes, begins with a motorcycle speeding down a desolate road while looping synths play. Rose later discovers a magical flower and gives it to a woman who turns out to be her real-life mother.
After “Take Away the Ache,” “Orange Blossoms,” and “Party’s Over,” “Swimmer” is the fourth single from Mythopoetics. Rose’s fifth studio album, The Caretaker, was released in 2020.
