Tedeschi Trucks Band has released Layla Revisited (Live at Lockn’), a live album featuring Trey Anastasio, just a week after DJ Khaled sampled “Layla” on his latest album.
The album includes an entire performance of Derek and the Dominos’ Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, which were recorded at Lockn’ Festival in August 2019. The only thing fans knew about the set was that Anastasio would be there. Derek Trucks and Anastasio cover Eric Clapton and Duane Allman’s “Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad?” in the video.
Fantasy Records will release the album on July 16th, and you can preorder it now. The band will hit the road again this summer for the Fireside Live tour, which kicks off on June 11th in Jacksonville, Florida.
