The Foo Fighters were scheduled to tour in 2020 to commemorate their 25th anniversary as a band, but the shows were cancelled, along with the rest of live music, due to the pandemic. The band officially confirmed their postponed 25th (now 26th) anniversary tour lineup on Tuesday, in addition to their already planned 2021 performances at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Bottlerock, and Boston Calling.
The six-city tour will begin on July 28th in Cincinnati, Ohio, and then continue through Milwaukee, St. Louis, Bonner Springs, Oklahoma City, and Albuquerque. All six dates will feature Radkey as openers. More performances are scheduled to be announced in the following weeks by the band.
On June 4th, at 10:00 a.m. local time, tickets for the tour will go on sale. Citi cardmembers will be able to purchase presale tickets through Citi Entertainment starting Tuesday, June 1st at 12:00 p.m. ET and ending Thursday, June 3rd at 10:00 p.m. local time.
Foo Fighters’ latest album, Medicine at Midnight, was unveiled in February 2021, after being delayed for a year because to Covid-19. The band, along with the Go- Go’s, Jay-Z, Carole King, Todd Rundgren, and Tina Turner, was announced as one of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2021 inductees last month. On October 30th, the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio will host the induction ceremony.
