The next rappers to compete in a VERZUZ duel are Ja Rule and Fat Joe.
The Verzuz series, which was launched in March 2020, is a clash concept created by producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, and has included artists such as Alicia Keys, Beenie Man, and Ludacris in music battles.
Following the prior battles between The LOX and Dipset and Keith Sweat and Bobby Brown, Ja Rule, and Fat Joe, both New York natives and collaborators on ‘What’s Luv?,’ have been revealed for the upcoming VERZUZ battle, which will take place live in the city on September 14th.
Snoop Dogg and the late DMX squared off in “The Battle of the Dogs” in July of last year, while Swizz Beatz and Timbaland recently expressed interest in recreating a Tupac vs. The Notorious B.I.G. battle.
On September 14th, at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, Ja Rule and Fat Joe will face off. Tickets for the event, which will be webcast via the Triller app, are also available. More information is available at VERZUZ.
