Travis Scott’s production firm, Cactus Jack Films, has secured a deal with A24, the indie distributor behind Moonlight, Midsommar, Uncut Gems, and HBO’s Euphoria, among other films.
Scott announced the deal with an Instagram photo of a script, stating that it is their first collaboration. The project’s title is Utopia, according to a spokesman for Scott, and it will supposedly be published in conjunction with Scott’s upcoming album.
Scott’s Cactus Jack brand has collaborated with McDonald’s, Fortnite, and other companies, and has dabbled in everything from fashion to video content to hard seltzer.
The rapper has not yet set a release date for his Astroworld follow-up — or the accompanying A24 project — but he previously informed Variety
Scott did premiere a new song at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, using an elaborate scheme involving QR codes and a drone, and is apparently due to appear on a new Kanye West track called “Praise God,” which West will premiere at his upcoming album’s Atlanta listening party event on July 22nd.
