UK producer Wordcolour has revealed information about his latest record, ”The trees were buzzing, and the grass.’
The 10-track album, which will be released on 24th June, has contributions from vocalist Natasha Lohan, percussionist Michael Anklin, and performance artist Es Morgan, and also vocal cameos from the producer’s friends.
On this album, he combines the club music for which he has been renowned from prior Houndstooth releases with more experimental outcomes. Timedance, AD 93, Marionette, and Shelter Press label releases are all mentioned as influences and the work of artists such as David Behrman and Laurie Anderson.
After collaborating with Es Morgan on the album’s written content, Wordcolour chopped and sampled the words everywhere, inviting pals to narrate the music and recordings from various contributors.
