“Expensive Pain,” the title track from Meek’s most recent album, gives fans a look at the rapper’s life of luxury and inner turmoil.
It seems like a documentary, following Mill throughout his days and nights, whether it’s playing chess in class, inspecting watches, performing on stage, hobnobbing with icons (Entry of Jay-Z for a brief period), or even wielding a giant sword.
Aside from Meek’s mother’s footage and an old interview clip, there are some further heavy scenes to balance the song’s lyrical themes. Expensive Pain was announced in September and released a few weeks later on October 1st. While in the first three years since the 2018 Championships, the rapper released a string of EPs and singles.
