This year, Chai got into the holiday spirit by releasing a Christmas Day version of Wham!’s classic “Last Christmas.” It was accompanied by a new music video featuring the band.
The band, who dropped their latest album “Wink” earlier this year, is the latest in a long line of performers to cover the classic holiday track. Lucy Dacus recorded it as part of her holiday covers series in 2019, Robyn played it on BBC Radio 1 in 2018, Future Islands covered it in 2015, the xx recorded it in 2012, and Taylor Swift shared it in 2007 holiday EP.
