WOMEN AND NON-BINARY PRODUCERS GET NEW RECORD LABEL WITH LADY OF THE HOUSE

The crew behind the Lady Of The House exhibition has formed their own record label with the intention of showcasing some of the finest female and non-binary underground musicians.

Lady Of The House Recordings was revealed at the Panel Brighton Music Conference on Thursday, May 26. The announcement follows Lady Of The House’s exhibition on International Women’s Day and the publication of a book with the same title.

As part of the label’s mission to highlight the best electronic music talent, it is launching a month-long contest inviting female and non-binary makers of any electronic music category to contribute a song.

Four Lady Of The House “Godmothers” will evaluate the contest: BBC Radio 1’s Charlie Tee; RIT Best Dance Act Becky Hill; BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar; and Defected’s Sam Divine.

Throughout the process, these formidable women will serve as A&Rs and then use their knowledge to steer the imprint on the correct path.

The four finest entries will be shared on the new label, and the champions will get an amazing bundle of support and mentoring.
