The Vengaboys have unveiled a version of Charli XCX and Troye Sivan’s 2019 track, “1999,” as well as a throwback video from the 1990s.
The Dutch group, best known for singles like “We Like To Party (The Vengabus),” “Boom Boom Boom Boom,” and “We’re Going To Ibiza,” rose to prominence in the late 1990s by sprinkling their trademark Eurodance vibe onto a steadfast rendition of the actual song.
The trio is superimposed on legendary photos, videos, and album covers from the era, including Top Of The Pops, Friends, Spice Girls, Daft Punk, and, of course, their own work, in the accompanying video.
