After Hours, The Weeknd’s multi-platinum 2020 smash, was just released a year ago. But the singer says he’s already working on a follow-up, and it sounds like it’ll be the total opposite of that dark album.
The singer cryptically elaborated on the series of social media teases he’s been posting over the last few weeks hinting at new music in a recent interview with Variety.
Although he didn’t mention the project, the glimpse of what’s next seems to be yet another imaginative right turn after the collection, which saw him stumbling through Las Vegas wearing a bloody bandage over his nose, a trademark red suit, and oversized glasses, and altering his appearance with fake face-altering plastic surgery.
