The song is mostly instrumental, with lyrics that leave the listener’s understanding of the subject matter up to them. Her regular collaborators Coby Sey and Mica Levi helped her write the song.
The songs ‘Sink In’ and ‘Send Me’ are Tirzah’s first since 2018’s critically acclaimed ‘Devotion,’ with fans and critics alike eagerly anticipating the enigmatic musician’s follow-up. In 2018, Mixmag named ‘Devotion’ Album of the Year.
Leah Walker created the new track’s artwork, while Lewis Walker and Tylor Deyn choreographed and performed the song, which features emotive dancing that sets the scene for Tirzah’s voice.
