The full schedule for AVA London’s 2022 conference has been released.
The group behind Belfast’s massive AVA festival will return to the capital on March 18th for a day of masterclasses, keynote talks, Q&A sessions, and workshops, as well as performances from some of the biggest names in electronic music, at Printworks in South London.
Carl Cox, the techno kingpin, will hold a virtual Q&A on innovation in collaboration with Virtuoso, AVA’s education partner, among the musicians lined up for performances and lectures. In collaboration with Shesaid.so, Patreon is hosting a live “Fireside Chat.” As a result, the Black Artist Database platform creates a global community of women and gender minorities in the music industry.
Other speakers include recent DJ Mag cover star Jamz Supernova, Jaguar, and Butterz label co-founder Elijah, as well as Irvine Welsh, author of Trainspotting, who will speak at the event. DJ Mag will also present a hot-topic panel on The Future of UK Nightlife, featuring Carly Heath (Bristol Night Time Advisor), Raj Chaudhuri (Living Proof), Michael Kill (NTIA), and more to be announced. In this panel, we’ll hear from artists, DJs, policymakers, lobbyists, venue owners, and promoters about the issues that nightlife in the UK faces, as well as how we can build a more stable, safe, and varied environment for clubbers, festivals, clubs, and live events.
