Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran’s “Peru” takes up its first week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Triller U.S. list dated January 29.
According to Triller, the Top Triller U.S. and Top Triller Global charts recognise the biggest songs on Triller based on a method that combines the view count of videos containing a respective song, the level of engagement with those videos, and the raw total of videos posted featuring such song. The data for the charts is based on a Friday-Thursday tracking week, with the most recent period lasting from Jan. 14 to 20.
“Peru” debuted at No. 18 in the Jan. 8 survey and has progressively risen since, reaching No. 5 and later No. 2 before getting to No.1
While it is Fireboy DML’s first time ruling Top Triller U.S., it is Ed Sheeran’s second following his July 2021 song, “Bad Habits,” which topped for two weeks.
The week’s most popular “Peru” upload came from Sheeran himself, with 94,000 views according to Triller.
“Peru” is No. 1 on Top Triller Global for the second week in a row.
According to MRC Data, “Peru” had 3.3 million US streams and 1,000 downloads on audio and video streaming sites such as Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. It is now ranked No. 66 on the Global 200 and No. 53 on the Global 200 Excl. U.S., after peaking at Nos. 53 and 47, respectively, on January 15.
