The music for Robert Eggers’ latest film The Northman has been unveiled by composers Robin Carolan and Sebastian Gainsborough. Back Lot Music will release the soundtrack album digitally on April 22nd, while Sacred Bones will issue physical editions on July 1st. The latest single “Storm at Sea / Yggdrasill” is the first release from the soundtrack.
Sebastian Gainsborough is recognized for his work as Vessel, and Robin Carolan is the founder of Tri Angle Records.
The Northman will be released in theatres in the United States on April 22. Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman, Claes Bang, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ethan Hawke, Björk, and Willem Dafoe are among the cast members. Following 2015’s The Witch and 2019’s The Lighthouse, this is Eggers’ third feature film.
