ABBA Dropped ‘Just A Notion’

A fresh strain of ABBA Mania is sweeping the globe after a four-decade break.

Last month, the Swedish pop superstars broke the gap with two new singles, “Don’t Shut Me Down” and “I Still Have Faith In You,” all of which will be featured on the foursome’s next album Voyage, which will be released on November 5.

Fans were treated to a third new ABBA song, “Just A Notion,” on October 22.

“Just A Notion” is a rollicking, feel-good track that recalls ABBA’s greatest years. There’s a good explanation behind this. “Just A Notion” was written and recorded during the early sessions for ABBA’s sixth studio album Voulez-Vous in the summer of 1978, but it didn’t make the final cut.

The return of ABBA has been positively appreciated.

The Swedes will take to the stage for ABBA Voyage, a virtual residency set to take place in a custom-built arena in east London, next spring.
