AKON UNVEILED HIS PLANS TO BUILD ANOTHER CITY

Akon has revealed that he has planned to create a second city.

Akon, a Senegalese-American musician, announced in 2018 that he was working with the Senegalese government to build a tourist city focused on cryptocurrency, and in last year’s June, he unveiled plans for the first Akon City after securing a $6 billion deal.

While the first city is still under construction, Akon announced on Monday (5th) that a second city will be constructed in Uganda after the Ugandan government gives its approval. Akon City Uganda will be completed in 2036, according to the news network NBS TV. The first phase of Akon City Senegal, which will include the construction of a power plant and hospital, as well as roads, stores, and a school, is scheduled to be completed by 2023.

Akon Lighting Africa, which provides energy in 15 African countries, and a charity for underprivileged children, were among the philanthropic ventures launched by the Senegalese-American artist in 2014. Akon City will be powered entirely by renewable energy and will be completed by 2030.
