Friends and collaborators of the late pioneering experimental pop artist, producer, and cultural icon SOPHIE have launched the God Is Trans art auction to raise funds for the Trans Justice Funding Project, a US organisation that advocates for equity and justice alongside grassroots organisations around the country.
An Eckhaus Latta white silk dress, photographs by Renata Raksha and Zoe Chait, and a variety of original art pieces, including a print by Nick Harwood, who directed the video for the hit single ‘It’s OK To Cry,’ are among the items up for auction.
SOPHIE was killed in an accident in Athens, Greece, in January 2021, when she was 34 years old.
