The South African amapiano sound has evolved into its own genre on Beatport.
After years of being categorized under Dance/Electronic Pop, Deep House, and Afro House the genre now has its own section on the internet music store.
Major League DJz, DBN Gogo, Focalistic, and labels such as Jozi Entertainment, Kabza De Small’s PianoHub, and Busta 929’s Thupa Industry are among the personalities & labels who are promoting amapiano.
The amapiano tunes that were previously categorized incorrectly will now be correctly placed in this new genre.
