Sara Dziri, a Belgian-Tunisian producer, DJ, and artist, has delivered her first album, ‘Close To Home,’ through Optimo Music.
It follows up on her song ‘Fille De Racaille,’ which is inspired by her North African heritage, and explores topics of belonging, representation, and prejudice in her own introspective style.
Dziri’s diverse musical preferences and influences are reflected in her debut album, which includes elements of techno, ambient, darkwave, trance, krautrock, and orchestral music. The blend of North African rhythms and Western influences allows Dziri to explore themes of rage and injustice throughout the album.
Sara Dziri is a well-known figure in Brussels’ electronic underground scene. In 2019, she co-founded Not Your Techno, a platform and party dedicated to improving diversity in Belgium’s underground scene.
