Dave Keuning, the Killers’ guitarist Announced the Release of his New solo Album, “A Mild Case of Everything”

Dave Keuning took a hiatus from the Killers indefinitely in 2017 due to fatigue from the band’s heavy touring schedule — and he wasn’t involved in the making of their 2020 album Imploding The Mirage — but he hasn’t been idle. Prismism, his under-the-radar solo debut, was released two years ago, and A Mild Case of Everything, his second LP, will be released on June 25th.

The 16 songs on A Mild Case of Everything aren’t a drastic departure from the Killers’ synth-pop style, with influences from Depeche Mode and the Cars from the 1980s, but this album has more heavy guitar sounds than Prismism.

Last year, Keuning recorded the album in his San Diego home studio, playing all instruments besides drums, which were handled by friend Seth Luloff via e-mail from Iowa. Keuning also performs all of the vocals, something he had never done before when he recorded Prismism.
