On Tuesday, ILoveMakonnen surprised fans with the announcement of his latest album, My Parade, which features the lead single “Whoopsy” (featuring Payday).
The track is built around a woozy synth, grinding sub-bass, and iLoveMakonnen’s falsetto chirp of the title phrase that repeats throughout. Payday reappears in the second half, tossing out brisk disses like “I ain’t even gotta duck ’cause your aim is lazy.”
My Parade is the follow-up to ILoveMakonnen’s M3 EP, which featured the singles “Drunk on Saturday,” “I’ve Been Waiting,” and “Spendin,” a collaboration with Gucci Manne.
