The video for Kehlani’s relaxing “Little Story,” the electric guitar-backed, violin-featuring latest song off her upcoming album “Blue Water Road,” features some magnificent cinematic graphics.
Kehlani and Alex Thurmond co-directed the video, which follows the carefree singer in seeming solitude as she sings to a prior lover, wanting to be a part of their journey once more. She’s seen reading from a burning book in numerous moments, and she swings upside down from some monkey bars in one particularly carefree scene.
Later in the track, Kehlani is joined by violinists for a gorgeous, flowing bridge, and her 2-year-old daughter Adeya joins her for a lovely cameo as the mother-daughter pair is seen playing in the water.
The latest single comes after the unveiling of “Altar,” all those I have lost, all the angels I have gained, all those that walk with me with hands cracking my chest open,” according to her Twitter account. Last year, she also collaborated with Kiana Ledé on the sexy “Ur Best Friend.”
Blue Water Road is the follow-up to her 2020 album It Was Good Until It Wasn’t.
