KMRU and Aho Ssan have paired together to work on a new joint EP.
The album, titled ‘Limen,’ consists of three tracks, one of which is 21 minutes long. Following a prior live link-up at Berlin Atonal, this is the first studio collab between the two musicians. Ssan’s single ‘Outro’ has also been remixed by KMRU.
The album is believed to be inspired by many global changes that occurred during the COVID-19 outbreak, and it is noisier than the respective artists’ solo work. In the press materials, Ssan is reported as remarking that he’s “never made something so extreme” as the 21-minute cut titled ‘Ruined Abstractions.’
For an environmental aid organization last year, KMRU prepared an electronic music compilation from Nairobi.
